E. Anne Corbello, PA-C
Elizabeth “Anne” Corbello is a native of Lafayette. She attended Milton Elementary/Middle School and St. Thomas More High School and graduated with honors. Anne played and lettered in basketball at STM for all four years. She was also a member of the Cajun Soccer Club from the age of 13 to 19. Following high school she remained involved in soccer and basketball as a coach for both youth soccer and basketball. Anne attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette and graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She was a member of the inaugural Division I Women’s Soccer Team at ULL during her senior year. Anne decided to further her education by attending Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she graduated in 2007 with honors, earning a dual degree with a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master’s degree in Medical Science.
After finishing graduate school she was ready to return home and put her skills to work to help people in her hometown. Anne worked in neurosurgery for almost 5 years and then decided to make a change to the specialty of orthopedic surgery. She has been working with Dr. Vizzi since 2011 assisting with surgery as well as handling non-surgical care management. She enjoys her work in orthopedic surgery and has found it both challenging and rewarding. Being a former athlete, she understands an athlete’s mentality and enjoys taking care of athletes in the sports medicine setting. Anne also enjoys working with our older patients with arthritis and our young patients with acute fractures. She finds it fulfilling to help people prepare for surgery, to assist in their surgeries, and then to see them through recovery and return to their activities.
